Gabbi & Morgan’s wedding at Charlton Hall was nothing short of fantastic — and honestly, one for the books.

Charlton Hall is one of those venues that just has it all: quirky, bold, and completely unforgettable. It’s like stepping into an art piece — with its eccentric interiors, pops of colour, and unexpected details everywhere you turn. For a photographer who lives for editorial, fashion-inspired moments (hi, that’s me!), it’s an absolute dream playground.

Funny story that I don’t think I’ve shared often… Before diving into the wedding world, I actually worked as a fashion photographer for Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and Hello! Being at Charlton Hall genuinely brought me right back to those editorial days — and I felt so thankful to channel that energy again. The bold backdrops, the dramatic lighting, the sense of fun — it all felt like a Vogue shoot disguised as a wedding.

When choosing a wedding venue, it’s so important to pick one that feels like you. Your venue sets the entire tone of your day — it’s the canvas for your love story, and it should reflect your personality and style. Whether you’re going for something romantic and classic, modern and minimalist, or bold and whimsical (like Charlton Hall), your venue choice shapes the whole experience, for you and for your guests.

But here’s another piece of advice I always give as a wedding photographer: plan your wedding exactly the way you want it. Forget the trends and expectations. If you want a wild dance floor with glow sticks, do it. If you want fish and chips at 11 pm, absolutely go for it (Gabbi & Morgan did, and wow — that fish and chips hit different after hours of dancing!).

Speaking of the dance floor… this was hands down one of my favourites ever. The energy was electric, and everyone — from the couple to grandma — ended up on the floor. As a photographer, there’s nothing better than capturing those free-spirited, sweaty, joy-filled moments late into the night.

And let’s not forget about family. The emotional connections, the hugs, the candid looks across the room — family is what turns a wedding from a beautiful event into a true celebration of love. Gabbi & Morgan’s day was overflowing with those moments, and I loved documenting every one of them.

I even brought out my flash to really lean into that fashion editorial look, creating bold, cinematic images that felt straight out of a magazine spread.
