PRECIOUS & MATTHEW’S INTIMATE GATESHEAD WEDDING — SUNSHINE, JOY & SALTWELL PARK MAGIC

What an absolute joy it was to capture Precious and Matthew’s beautiful wedding! As a North East wedding photographer, I’m always so honoured to be invited into these intimate, heartfelt celebrations — and this day was truly one for the books.

Precious and Matthew chose to have a small, elegant civil wedding at Gateshead Civic Centre, surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed, romantic ceremony, full of genuine smiles and happy tears.

After the ceremony, we headed over to stunning Saltwell Park for some timeless wedding portraits. Saltwell Park is one of my favourite spots for wedding photos in Gateshead — it offers so many beautiful, natural backdrops, and on this day, we were gifted with glorious sunshine (a true rarity in the UK!). Their sweet dog joined us too, adding an extra layer of personality and fun to their wedding gallery.

Later, they invited everyone back to their home for an intimate, laid-back reception, complete with garden games, bubbly toasts, and the most delicious barbecue feast. Even when the classic British rain made a brief appearance, it only added to the charm and laughter.

As a cinematic and luxury wedding photographer in the UK, my approach is always about capturing the authentic, in-between moments that make your story yours — the small glances, the big hugs, the way the light falls just perfectly.
