TARINA & IAN’S EDGY WOODLAND ENGAGEMENT — EVERMORE VIBES & POLAROID MAGIC

There’s something so special about engagement sessions — they’re a chance to celebrate love in its most genuine, unfiltered form, before all the beautiful wedding-day chaos begins. I absolutely love them, and they mean so much to me as a photographer.

Tarina and Ian’s session? Oh wow. Their vibes were truly unmatched — so edgy, so cool, honestly the ultimate IT couple energy. And Rick? Their four-legged superstar? Absolute model behaviour (well… sometimes!), causing mayhem and being painfully cute at the same time. I think we can all agree he stole the show a few times.

This session was extra exciting because it was the first time I took my new Polaroid Flip out for a spin! (Polaroid, if you’re reading this… please sponsor me already. I have the Polaroid Now, the Flip, the I-2, and even a 1960s model. I’m basically your poster boy at this point!) But truly — I just love the analog vibes, the dreamy flash, the rawness of it all. There’s something so nostalgic and effortlessly cool about blending film and digital in my sessions. I’ll be sharing some of those Polaroid shots too, so keep an eye out.

I always love going to places that mean something to my couples, and for Tarina and Ian, it was the woodland near Tarina’s parents’ home. It felt so personal, almost like stepping into a Taylor Swift Evermore music video — magical, moody, and full of heart.

And now, for every wedding, I’ve started a new tradition: I retouch 10 pictures on the same day and bring my Instax Square printer to gift you 10 prints, beautifully retouched and ready for you to hold that very day!
